ABOUT US
Celebrating Frome. Empowering Local. Telling the Stories That Matter.
Fabulous Frome is a hyper-local digital media platform dedicated to shining a light on everything that makes our town irresistible — the people, the makers, the independents, the events, the food, the fun, and the culture that give Frome its sparkle.

What started as a one-woman passion project has grown into a small but mighty creative team: writers, photographers, designers, podcasters, and community champions who share a love of storytelling and a commitment to supporting local.

Meet the team making the magic happen.

Becky Percival – Founder & Creative Director
Fabulous Frome was born from Becky’s love of community storytelling and her belief that small businesses deserve big visibility. With over 20 years’ experience in digital marketing, website design, SEO, email marketing and social media, Becky blends creativity with strategy to help local businesses get seen — and supported.

Her journey began in Brazil, where she launched an online jewellery brand while raising her son. Back in the UK, she built a career as an online marketing consultant working with a wide range of businesses to grow website traffic, boost sales and build meaningful online communities.

In 2014, she launched Fabulous Frome — entirely self-funded — and has since grown it into a trusted local platform with thousands of followers, a thriving directory, a buzzing events board, and a fast-growing audience.
Becky is the creative techie behind everything you see on Fabulous Frome: the website, the strategy, the voice, the community engagement, the social content… all with her signature sparkle. When she’s not growing FF, you’ll probably find her painting, writing, or kicking a football around with her son.

Garfield Austin – Writer & Photographer
Garfield brings words and images to life with a rare mix of artistry, precision and curiosity. A professional musician, photographer and writer, his career has spanned government service, performing arts, education, research, public policy, and creative industries.

He learnt photography the traditional way — film, paper, the darkroom — and sold his first print at age 15.
His photography now features heavily across Fabulous Frome, capturing the character and colour of local events and everyday life.

As a writer, Garfield has become the team's go-to craftsman of thoughtful storytelling, working across event coverage, profiles, features and creative editorial.
When not behind a camera or keyboard, he still performs professionally and works across a variety of specialist sectors, bringing a wealth of experience (and dry humour) to the FF team.

Will Paice – Designer & Branding Specialist
Will is our design wizard — the man behind the banners, the visuals and the polished pieces that bring Fabulous Frome’s identity to life.

With a career that began designing hot-air balloons and grew into running a full studio in the City of London, Will has created work for everyone from startups to major global brands like Coca-Cola, Pfizer and The Bank of China. His skill set spans branding, graphic design, illustration, web design and printed media.

If it needs designing, Will can do it: infographics, brochures, flyers, logos, social templates, and the beautiful graphics you see across our website and Facebook page.

He’d have spare time… if we didn’t constantly keep him busy!

Daisy – Community Storyteller & Podcast Host (When in Frome)

Daisy is the creator and presenter of When in Frome — the monthly podcast celebrating the people and stories that shape our town. With a background in national journalism, she reports and presents for Sky News, ITV News and Global Radio, bringing warmth, clarity and insight to every story she tells.

Now based in Mells, Daisy channels her love of local life into the podcast and her monthly column here on Fabulous Frome. Together with co-hosts Sonia and Becky, she explores everything from community issues and local heroes to hidden histories and quirky tales from around town.

When she’s not recording or writing, Daisy enjoys time with her husband, their grown-up children and her granddaughter — often with a notebook or a coffee in hand.
