Clinkgate Farmhouse

Clinkgate Farmhouse sits on the north side of Frome in that area of the old market town known as Clink. Clink as a contemporary term is associated with prison. As a place to stay Clinkgate Farmhouse is a million miles away from that! Legend has it that Clink described the sound of the coin as it fell into the toll collector's vessel. In reality Clink (actually clench) is Anglo-Saxon for hill.
