Frome FM's Summer Fundraiser promises a full day of music, dancing and family fun

If you're looking for something to do this Saturday (25th July), head to The Silk Mill for Frome FM's Summer Fundraiser - a day packed with live music, vinyl, dancing, great food and community spirit, all while supporting one of Frome's best-loved organisations.

The event runs throughout the day, with free afternoon activities (entry by donation) from 1pm until 5.30pm, followed by an evening party from 6pm, featuring live music and DJs.

The afternoon promises something for all ages, giving visitors the chance to experience the community radio station up close.

As well as exploring the station and even having a go at creating your own radio show, there'll be vinyl stalls, a pop-up bar, delicious Mexican food from Amber, plenty of music and a relaxed festival atmosphere inside The Silk Mill.

One of the highlights is sure to be Emily Maypole, who'll be inviting visitors to join her on the maypole ribbons while sharing the history and traditions behind this centuries-old celebration of community.

Live music and DJs into the evening

From 6pm, the fundraiser transforms into a party, with live music from Free Monet, followed by Frome FM DJs spinning everything from disco and house to electro well into the evening.

Advance tickets for the evening are £7.

Supporting community radio

Every penny raised will help Frome FM make the move from analogue to digital broadcasting, helping secure the future of the town's volunteer-run community radio station for years to come.
