Cosy cats, cosmic guidance and calm intention-setting for 2026
As the year draws to a close and the longest night approaches, a rather magical gathering is taking place in Frome. On Sunday 21st December, from 4pm–5pm, the brand-new Puss in Books Cat Café will host Purrfect Solstice Meditation for a Prosperous New Year – a gentle, welcoming Winter Solstice experience blending meditation, astrology and intention-setting…with resident cats quietly padding around to provide extra calm and comfort.
This one-hour event invites people to slow down, breathe out, and consciously mark the turning of the year. Tickets are £9, which includes a hot drink, festive snacks, and of course, the chance to spend time with the café’s feline companions.
Astrology with heart – and something a little special
When participants book, they’ll be invited to share their birth details so they can receive a personalised Cosmic Compass – a one-page insight based on their full natal chart. This gives guests a grounded, personal sense of what kinds of growth, healing and development are most naturally supported for them in 2026, alongside an exploration of the year’s major cosmic movements.
This is designed to be accessible, not intimidating – something warm, human, practical and reflective rather than 'woo-woo.' Think: meaningful guidance rather than fortune-telling.
A Winter Solstice moment of 'paws' (!)
The event offers a rare opportunity to welcome the Solstice consciously – honouring the longest night and the turning point toward returning light. Whether you come alone, with a friend, as co-parents, creative collaborators, family members, or simply as someone curious about gentle reflection, the space is intended to feel safe, inclusive and kind.
Optional gentle accountability for the year ahead
The gathering also marks the beginning of the 3Inspired accountability circles – optional, trauma-informed small groups of three offering companionship, encouragement and perspective throughout the year. The three-person format is intentional: it softens pressure, balances voices and creates a supportive triad that mirrors the symbolism of moving through change together.
Participants can choose whether to engage with this ongoing support; there’s no obligation at all.
