Garfield Austin - Writer & Photographer (Roving Reporter for Fabulous Frome)
Garfield Austin is a writer, photographer and musician with an extraordinary CV and eclectic skill set. A decade of government service, which included secretariat duties for senior officers, was followed by sixteen years in performing arts and education; playing and teaching the trombone professionally. During this time a number of his pupils attained places in national youth ensembles and several are now working as classical musicians themselves.
He holds a Royal College of Music performance diploma and continues to perform professionally.
He learnt photography on film and paper and sold his first print aged 15. His work can be seen here.
